MARINFERNO is an artistic project.
Wine is around it.

The Mariferno project was initiated in 2016 to give a new sense of direction to a historic farm in Vicobarone, in Val Tidone, in the heart of the hills of Piacenza. The company has always been owned by the Sforza Fogliani family, who have been in these lands since 1500.

Marinferno is an anagram of “Monferrina”, the historic name of the farm and the initial catalyst of this project.

Landscape, creativity and hospitality are at the heart of our project, which come together in an idea of sustainable agriculture and tourism.

We grow aromatic Candia Malvasia, Ortrugo, Barbera, Bonarda and Pinot Nero.

We produce organic, “naturally dishevelled” wines and we are members of the FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers.
